Well I upgraded my computer over christmas with a Q6600 Quad. The thing is the computer sees the Quad and under system properties it sees it as a Q6600 Core 2 Quad. Under device manager it sees Intel Q6600 Core 2 quad.
In performance manager it only lists 2 cpus.
Boinc is only doing 2 tasks at a time. I have already changed my preferences to use 10 cores, or 100% of CPU.
Still only doing 2 tasks.

What have I missed?
Vista SP1 (for now) debating going back to XP.

Im no expert or anything but I also have a q6600 and have had no problems. I would try looking in the BIOS to see if there is a motherboard setting for this.

Also, you might try updating you chipset drivers if they aren't up to date. Lastly, I would recommend you using the program CPU-Z to be absolutely sure or your hardware setup.

Yeah for some reason they were disabled by default in the bios. Thanks.
