Hi,

I have a few retired projects in my boinc client. When I choose the project, the detach button shows up grayed out. When I look at my host through BAM, the retired projects are not displayed. How do I detach these projects?

Thanks in advance

In BOINC Manager select Tools and click on "Stop Using BOINCstats BAM!".

Detach from project ... then return to Tools and click "Attach to Project Manager", re-attach to BAM.

There may be other ways, but I find this the simplest

If that doesn't work just shut BOINC Down (Exit BOINC) and find the BOINC Directory (Usually in the C:\Program Files Directory). Once you find the BOINC Directory just take the account_xxxxxxxxx. xml file for the Retired Project out of the Directory and when you stat BOINC back up the Project should be gone from your Client ...

Thanks for this advice. I have spent a couple of days trying to work this out.
Worked exactly as described.

To much work...
Willy needs only to retire a project in the BAM-config and after the next connect to BAM, this project will be automatically deleted from your local client.
I had seen this behaviour for Aqua@home.

@Ste/e - your method works the best and fastest. Detaching and attaching the Host from BAM is cumbersome and usually leads to the creation of a new Host ID for the same Host.
Just a small correction - the account_xxxxxxxxx. xml file is located in the Directory where BOINC manager stores the application data. In Vista this is usually - 'CrogramDataBOINC'.
