Hi!

Sadly I recently lost my most powerful machine so I'm now trying to make up my BOINC stats with other machines, but they run into problems with resource contentions so I have them set to only run between 7pm and 8am using BAM "Work Preferences" settings. However, unlike if I configure them in BOINC manager I cannot add overrides for weekends - where they can run 24/7. Is this possible using BAM? I don't really want to override BAM altogether as it's a very nice way to stop the processing on all my machines if I need to use them exceptionally.

I know that I could set BOINC to stop if it detects CPU usage but I have cpu time sensitive monitoring going on and having BOINC suddenly use 75% CPU during these tests skews the results.

Any advice would be gratefully received!

Thanks!

I don't think so, since BAM! only sets the BOINC online preferences for you, and those don't provide that feature.

If you use the Day-of-week override of the BOINC manager, you do exactly that: you override the online settings, no matter if they have been set by you or by BAM!.

Thanks for your help, I'll have to bite the bullet and configure them locally then, thanks!

Should I suggest this feature to BAM! or to BOINC?

Thanks,
