Hey,

I´m getting a strange message on my client:

General prefs: from http://boinc.run.montefiore.ulg.ac.be/evo/ (last modified 20-Mar-2011 14:26:27)

I don´t have a project with such a URL in my project list so I wonder where the client gets this information? Does anybody know what this project is and why this shows up and actually alters my preferences?

That's the url for Evo@home. Not only is that project dead, the domain expired some time ago - so it's safe to say there's not a rogue server out there messing with your prefs.

Did you crunch Evo? It might be that the client is merely noting where it last got an updated preferences file. See what happens if you edit your computing preferences at another project.

Thanks Butteroven, indeed I crunched some minor 6 credits for Evo before it was retired.

I have updated my preferences at another project to see what happens but it might be that there is some bug in BAM which I´m connected to because it should be the case that preferences set in BAM would propagate to all attached projects, right? But this seems to not be the case as I see other preferences in the project websites than set here in BAM.

Will keep an eye on this and will eventuelly re-post in the bug section.
